What is the purpose of your programme?
The programme is for persons required to provide basic information about tuberculosis to community members of similar cultural background and mother tongue, and to facilitate treatment compliance for the person who has tuberculosis. Persons wanting to be DOT supporters should have knowledge of the community and the ability to communicate effectively within their cultural context.
What are the entry requirements?
- At least grade 8 or equivalent certificate or an ABET Level 3 qualification.
- Learners must also have the following skills: reading, writing and speaking in English, ability to undertake independent learning.
